When a got my first puppy I was so excited about my new responsibility and a cute puppy arriving at my house and going everywhere with me... Then reality hit! An 8 week old german sheppard called Phoebe turned my life upside down and I realised I didn't have a clue how to go about the every day training techniques/skills to get this little bundle of fluff to do as she was told!
Vicky was my knight in shinning armour, within 5 minutes Phoebe was sitting nicely,and learning to lie down. I signed up immediately and never looked back. I regularly receive praise from strangers in the park on her excellent behaviour and her enthusiasm for training and learning new tricks.
I highly recommend vicky to all dog owners, I now have two sheppards and use the boarding service dawes paws offers. I don't have to worry about a thing when they are safe in Vicky's care.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Just want to say a big big thank you to Vicki for all her help and support to Tes and myself (still ongoing). The classes are great, fun, and you make new friends as well as learning how to teach your dog to be obedient and bring you closer to them. I didn’t think I would ever get as close to a dog as I was to my first Border Collie but thanks to you I think our bond is even stronger. I Don’t even want to go to work, just want to spend every minute with her.
Thank you for your help and advice with Tes and her “car” issues, still a long way to go but tons better than she was.
I have recommended you to people and I know some have come to classes both Wednesday and Thursday and I will continue to recommend to anyone I can.
You are brilliant and I don’t know what I would have done without you.

Thank you again for all your help with Skye. I think she had her cocky head on her last night as my mum was there... I was really impressed with Skye for passing last night but most of all for the excellent retrieval we've all been waiting for ha-ha !!
I enjoyed the Novice Class and I'm sure you can see she loves it herself.... We are going to be coming back and moving on to the next class.
All in all she's a completely different dog and we love the transformation.

"I cannot thank Vicki enough for looking after Treacle whilst we were on holiday. I felt completely relaxed in knowing that she was being looked after by a fellow dog lover and experienced trainer. It really did make a difference knowing that she wasn't alone in a kennel and that she was getting the care and attention that a Labrador puppy needs! We had great fun at puppy classes and we were amazed at how quickly Treacle learnt the various commands.........the leave command has been very useful due to Treacle's frequent stealing habits :) !! The nutrition advice that Vicki had given us has saved us a fortune and Treacle is much healthier and happier since the change in her diet, she also looks great and people are always commenting on her shiny coat! I would recommend Dawes Paws to any dog owner...in fact I already have and they too are a very satisfied customer !! Thanks again Vicki :)"

Buster & I have attended 2 levels of class training with Vicki which we found to be excellent. Each training class begins with the dogs playing off lead together; this in invaluable socialisation & all too often ignored.
We have also benefited from regular one to one behavior training with Vicki & her 4 legged helpers; this again is excellent, value for money & effective in teaching both my dog’s good doggy manners & interaction.
Vicki’s approach is pragmatic & tailored to the specific needs of you & your dog.
Buster will be staying with Vicki & her family whilst we are on holiday & we have total peace of mind that he couldn’t be in better hands.

Bess is my first Rottweiler & it is so true,they are lovable, loyal, and like clowning about.
Vicky's biggest task is training "me", not Bess!
We have both enjoyed the classes, passed novice and intermediate and are now facing the challenge of advanced...
Bess and I have both benefited from Vicky's classes and enjoyed them so much we are going around again. Apart from the training, it is an excellent way of gaining dog socialisation which I would highly recommend to any dog owner.

Having got Eabha back home yesterday after a two week stay with Vicki I have noticed a massive improvement with the work that Vicki has put in, Eabha is now picking a ball up and also retrieving a ball from a short distance throw this is one more step towards her flyballing career which we didn’t think was going to be achievable, still a long way to go but with the right guidance we can go forward in the right direction.

The training was excellent and fun for both myself and Shep. He has calmed down a lot since starting his training. I also have more confidence with him when out walking.
